Yoga for the Special Child

One of the most common bits of advice I’ve heard since becoming involved in this community is the importance of early education and action in the young developmental years.

At Aspen Yoga, we have developed a one of a kind program that focuses on improving the mental and physical health of our students, all while having fun! AY’s unique program incorporates games, props and (without a doubt, the student favorite) instructs students on how to teach yoga to their peers! Each class, be it one-on-one or in group settings, is customized to include each child’s specific interests, hobbies and preferences. This personalized approach helps each child feel comfortable, excited and most importantly, engaged!

Aspen Yoga has extensive knowledge and background working with young children on the spectrum and the benefits are endless. Through AY’s classes, children are given tools through yoga to help reduce/regulate anxiety, practice social skills, become more self-aware, increase focus, leadership, patience, public speaking, improve motor skills and gain confidence within themselves.
